The Crime Statistics of South Africa are reported to the public on a quarterly basis by the Minister of Police.
All the documents on Saferplaces.org are derived from the source documents that is published on the official website of the South African Police Service (SAPS) at https://www.saps.gov.za/services/crimestats.php
The financial year of the SAPS starts on 1 April and ends on 31 March.
The Crime Stats available at Saferplaces.org is for the 2024/2025 Financial Year.
